Liard Hot Springs is not a big city. There are no stores – not even gas. The Liard Hot Springs “Lodge” is the only place, aside from the hot springs campground itself, where RVs can park… but even though the place comes with warnings like “the showers don’t work, there’s no laundry, no wifi, limited services,” the short 3/4 mile walk to the wonderful hot springs and the opportunity to just sit in the steaming water makes light of all of it.
They went twice in one day, soaking in the luxurious waters of the substantial pools. They were starting to see familiar faces (“weren’t you just at the campground in Dawson Creek?”) and almost wished they could stay an extra day just to do it all over again.
