Lake Muncho to Watson Lake – they are now in the Yukon! Between the time they arrived and dinner hour, they checked the three things off their list they wanted to explore in this small beautiful town: visit the Northern Lights Centre and watch the Northern Lights movie on their planetarium ceiling; wander through the world-famous Signpost Forest (more than 80,000 signs!); and hike the trail around Wye Lake. This was a very relaxing afternoon in preparation for the long drive to Whitehorse.

Upon arriving in Whitehorse, their first stop was Walmart for supplies, then to the restaurant rated #1 on Trip Advisor, Klondike Rib & Salmon. It didn’t disappoint and they thoroughly enjoyed halibut chowder, reindeer stew, wild salmon with maple syrup and Yukon ale. This was also their first opportunity to try the food of the First Nations people, bannock. Scone-like in texture with crispy outside and fluffy inside, these delicious biscuits added a perfect flavor to the already extraordinary meal.
Yummmmm….bring some home!!! Love the travelogue:)
