May 27, 2016 – The four of us (Ron & Donna Queen, Cliff and me) hopped in our two truck/trailer rigs and headed toward our destination of the eastern Sierra region. First night was in Boomtown NV (near Cabela’s – Cliff is very happy), then 3 nights just south of Bridgeport CA on the 395. The area to the northeast of Yosemite is spectacularly beautiful.
We were testing the rigs, as well as cooking supplies and everything else, in preparation for a longer trip this summer. So far so good!
Each truck cab has a walkie-talkie so we were in communication with each other throughout the drive. Very helpful when it came to rest stop or eating breaks. Sometimes we just wanted to jump out and take a few pictures.
